What is the first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Brazil”? Let us guess: beaches, samba, football, caipirinhas… and coffee. Sweet and chocolatey, with a nutty note. Did we get it right?

We love all of that too.

But from coast to coast, with hills, mountains and diverse microclimates, coffee could never have just one identity. It can show vibrant, citrusy acidity, fruitiness and plenty of texture. Sweetness is always the backdrop, but in recent years our producers have specialised in adding their own identity and a twist of surprising flavours. All of Brazil can be found in a cup, and you may have arrived just in time to taste it!

These qualities come together in every partnership between producer and buyer, beginning with Japanese-Brazilian hospitality: an open door, time to talk, a generous table and, naturally, a little coffee.

Brazilian coffee is more than sweet because we believe our way of welcoming people extends to the product, even across an ocean. The experience in the cup is only complete when that coffee has left a trail of satisfaction wherever it has been.
